Amici Music Piano Recital

AmiciMusic, a new chamber music organization based in Baltimore, will present their first program at CCC on Friday, October 27 at 7:30PM entitled "FRENCH FOUR-HAND FROLIC."   This concert features pianists Elizabeth Borowsky and Daniel Weiser at the same piano making their 20 fingers dance in an intricate ballet.  The program explores the influence of ragtime, cabaret, and other popular idioms on French composers at the turn of the 20th century and culminates in a fantastic new arrangement of Gershwin's "American in Paris."  AmiciMusic (www.amicimusic.org), founded by Artistic Director Daniel Weiser, is dedicated to performing great music in intimate spaces and to breaking down boundaries between audience and performers.  At each concert, Dr. Weiser presents short anecdotes about each composer before the pieces are played and establishes a very relaxed and informal atmosphere in which to hear this great music.  Admission at the door is $15 for CCC members, $20 for the general public, and free for children 18 and under.  You can buy discounted seats in advance and find out more about the concert at the following link: https://amicimusic.org/concert/french-four-hand-frolic/
